July 21: Kit Carson Park Market Day! Happy Fiestas!

Its that time again Taos for the Fiestas! We look forward to this time of the year as we pick up and move to Kit Carson Park for one day only July 21st for our Picnic Market in the park!

Bring your picnic blankets and kick off your shoes we are setting up with all the local goods for a perfect picnic in the park. Enjoy music from Kombucha Marimba and let the good times roll…

What a better way to get your weekly shopping done than grounding down & reconnecting with all your friends and neighbors!

Saturday, July 21, 8am-12:30pm

We will also be awarding the Golden Shovel to the vendor with the Most Beautiful Produce! Come to the Info Booth during market to cast your vote 🙂

May 12: 1st Market Day of the 2018 Season!

Welcome back to the Plaza!

After meeting up with the vendor for our Spring Vendor Meeting, the excitement in the room was simply contagious!  We are all looking forward to coming back to the Plaza this year with new and exciting products, new vendors, and all the local food you’ve always depended on the market to provide.

Myself & Cameron are still managing the market so you can except the same level of service when it comes to your questions.  We want the best experience for the customer and if you have any questions, comments, or concerns we will handle your feedback with respect.

We are excited to welcome the Pot Creek String Band to play weekly as our morning entertainment.  They have joined us many mornings last season to play for tips but this year we are proud to call them the our morning musicians!  You can still expect local, regional acts from 10am-12pm a different musician/group every week throughout the season.  Opening Day we will have local-favorite Stacey Sanders as our 10am-noon entertainment, check out his music at http://www.staceysandersmusic.com/

I’ve ordered all kinds of new TFM merchandise, hats, bags, and even insulated bags I’m happy to offer market customers – come see me at the info booth!  Also we will have our EBT & DUFB food assistance programs up and running all season, remember we can only disperse tokens between 8:00am-12:00pm, even though market goes until 12:30pm so get your tokens first then shop around, eat, & talk with friends.

Thanks for reading!  See you at the Plaza starting May 12!

-Jennifer

Monthly Newsletter

This season we are committed to getting out a Monthly Newsletter to let you know what we have going on each month. We decided to make it a monthly newsletter so that we aren’t clogging up your inbox! You can expect general news about the market and always a recipe from the incredible Karen Todd: who is not only an incredible Chef/Baker (as I’m sure you are aware) but also the Treasurer of our Board of Directors. Right now we are looking for volunteers to help out Saturday afternoons with breakdown, helping market organizers, farmers, and other vendors so we can leave the Plaza in an orderly fashion to keep our neighbor-shopkeepers happy! From 12-1:30 we could use help from some able bodied community members, if you or anyone you know may be interested please contact us at: info@taosfarmersmarket.org
